Peers in Emergency Departments

Peers in ED provides peer support in emergency departments for people experiencing mental distress or addiction challenges. The service offers support at a critical point of need within hospital emergency settings.

We provide calm, practical support to people and whānau, delivered by peer workers who support people during their time in care. The service also supports clinical teams by improving the patient experience.
